Singer and songwriter John Denver touched millions of people. He also achieved the status of a superstar with his folk-based pop songs most of which were based in Colorado. Born Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. in Roswell New Mexico, he was in love with Colorado and eventually settled in Aspen. Denver's anthems of fame about Colorado are a source of inspiration for many to move to the state. G. Brown, curator of the Colorado Music Hall of Fame said that John Denver is the only musician to truly embody Colorado.
